Click the envelope icon at the top or bottom of the page to send us an email with your suggestion. Leander ISD Leander ISD educates more than 42,000 students at 48 campuses across 200 square miles. Families can learn about the district from its guiding documents, which include its Strategic Plan, Core Beliefs, Graduate Profile, 10 Ethical Principles, The Leander Way, and the Learning Model and Student Learning Behaviors. LISD provides a wealth of financial transparency information, from its budget and check registers to debt management details. You can also learn about its programs, operations, and governance by attending meetings or watching livestreams of the Board of Trustees. Leander ISD PTA Council The Council serves 43 PTAs in our school district by providing leadership, guidance, and advocacy. They operate and manage the Leander ISD PTA Clothes Closet, serving students with free clothing across the entire school district. Additionally, the Council oversees several programs that provide assistance to our local PTAs, students, families, and district staff. Visit lisdptacouncil.com Leander Educational Excellence Foundation As state funding for public education continues to shrink, the non-profit Leander Educational Excellence Foundation (LEEF) provides additional resources for teachers and students in our district. Please support this critical mission by joining the group’s Monthly Giving. City of Leander The City of Leander is home to more than 80,000 residents. It offers children and teen programming at the Leander Public Library, Leander Parks and Recreation and special events throughout the year. City of Cedar Park The City of Cedar Park is home to more than 83,000 residents. Its special events, public library, rec center, and various parks and facilities offer programming for kids of all ages. Williamson County Williamson County offers a variety of resources for parents and families. Austin Community College Austin Community College offers various online and in-person learning programs that lead to career certificates, associate degrees, bachelor’s degrees, or university transfer. Among the 11 ACC campuses throughout the Austin area, we have two locations nearby, San Gabriel Campus in Leander, and the Cypress Creek Campus in Cedar Park. Texas Library Association Texas Library Association (TLA) is the largest state library association in the US, with more than 6,000 members. It was created to promote, support, and improve library services in Texas. Among other services, it offers tools and resources to librarians facing book challenges. Southern Poverty Law Center The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) is a civil rights organization and was among the first to monitor and report on hate and extremist groups like the KKK. Today, it lists more than 72 groups on its Texas Hate Map. A number of these, including the Moms for Liberty, OathKeepers, True Texas Project, InfoWars, and Mass Resistance are in the Austin area, and specifically in our school district and suburbs. ACLU of Texas The American Civil Liberties Union of Texas is a civil rights organization working in the courts, the legislature, and public education to protect civil rights and individual liberty. Among its areas of focus, ACLU strives to ensure every student has the right to learn in an environment where they feel valued and can think for themselves.
